PROJECT OVERVIEW

The original building of 32,600 SF of structural steel columns, bar joists, and precast concrete was built two years prior to Phase II. The original design included some office space, four dock areas for incoming and outgoing freight, and a large warehouse area.

Phase II which added 45,600 SF of warehouse also added approximately 12-14’ in height to the warehouse structure, and all of the floors in the warehouse area had to be “super flat” for automatic fork lifts to operate throughout the warehouse area. The clear height from the floor to bottom of the joist was 38’. Most of the warehouse was at dock level, and with Phase II we added four additional docks to the new warehouse. The original thought for offices was about 5,750 SF. However, a 2nd level was added for current and future expansion. The existing warehouse and offices were kept open and operating during the construction period.
