This four year project extended from Douglas northward to the Union Pacific Railroad crossing of Chisholm Creek, a length of approximately two miles. New railroad bridges were built at three streets, two low clearance bridges were removed and replaced with much larger structures, and one historic bridge was widened. All of the grade separation structures now carry two main tracks with room for a third track. Overall, eight miles of track were constructed within the confines of the project and five existing at-grade crossings were permanently closed.
